Youth Futures Foundation – Quadrennial Review Published

Updated: Dec 12, 2023

The Oversight Trust has today published its independent Quadrennial Review of Youth Futures Foundation.

Youth Futures’ mission is to work with partners in the complex ecosystem around youth unemployment in England to determine “what works” to address the issue. While it is too early in its life to be able to judge its impact, the report details the organisation’s significant achievements in its first years of operation and identifies a number of issues for Youth Futures to consider as it engages in developing its future strategy.

The four issues detailed in the report are:

1.    Given the breadth and scope of the issue being addressed, Youth Futures needs to focus its activities and clearly communicate “what it does do and what it does not do”.

2.    To effect systems change, Youth Futures needs to have the capacity to influence government at both national and local level.

3.    It is essential that Youth Futures collaborates and communicates effectively with both large and small employers.

4.    There are organisational challenges to be considered and also reflected on by Government and the Oversight Trust.
