Expansion of Dormant Assets Scheme

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has announced that £76 million from the Dormant Assets Scheme is to be released to help support vulnerable people through the continuing cost of living crisis, including: through no-interest loans; and investment for charities and social enterprises to help retro-fit premises with more efficient and greener energy systems. Funding will be provided through Fair4All Finance, Big Society Capital and Access.


It was also announced that the Dormant Assets Scheme is also to be expanded to include community wealth funds, to allow local residents to improve their communities.
